Nanamee is a free community-based service for designers, created by Michael Paul Young, of the world-renowned font, stock art and graphic design shop YouWorkForThem. Founded in 2009, Nanamee allows designers to provide their works for sale however they choose, and benefit from community-based features like "related products" searches and the ability to "follow" favorite designers. Nanamee brings the highest standards of curation to graphic, photographic and audio media resources, and allows for designers to move quickly from inspiration to the marketplace, all under the respected name of YouWorkForThem.

After eight years of curating and maintaining YouWorkForThem, Young was inspired to open a similar platform up to the public, allowing for many more designers to buy and sell their work. Nanamee has no investors, and thus is not primarily concerned about the bottom line like many stock media resources. This allows for affordability and manageability, all under the auspices of YouWorkForThem's quality standard. "While quantity will be a factor on Nanamee, quality is still the focus," says Young. "This is a new vision and a fresh start. We want to provide a fresh market for stock design at an affordable cost."

Nanamee is royalty free, and operates using the micropayment business model. As designers begin to populate the system, Nanamee will soon become one of the highest-quality resources online for member-generated media.
